The Research Status and Development Trend of Nitride Phosphors Used in LED
Abstract: Since the early 1990s, GaN-based blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were used for development of white-light LED device. White LED caused people's extensive concern that because of its good stability, long service life, high luminous efficiency, and the advantages of low energy consumption.
Nitride phosphors were investigated indispensably for the preparation of synthetic LEDs in some of the traditional LED preparation methods (e.g., integrated single chip, phosphors conversion method, etc.), so got more and more the attention of the scientific research workers. White LED luminous effect will be better that the stability, good color rendering index and ultrahigh luminous efficiency of the ingenious use of nitride phosphors, nitride phosphors also highlights its irreplaceable status in the field of LED phosphors.
This paper mainly introduces LED with nitride phosphors luminescence principle, the research status, and the preparation methods in the application of the white LED in recent years. There is no doubt that nitride phosphors with high luminous intensity, the advantages of the transmitting bandwidth, good stability, it will become the 21st century's most promising new fluorescent materials.
