本文基于《义务教育教科书数学八年级下》浙教版中对一元二次方程的教学过程对一元二次方程进行了多角度分析。首先，阐述了一元二次方程的历史发展。人类对一元二次方程的研究经历了漫长的岁月，方程一词出自《九章算术》，《九章算术》是中国古代第一部数学专著。接着，介绍了一元二次方程的概念，又对一元二次方程教学方面作了一些研究，并作出了一些教学意见。此外，还增加了一部分个人对初中阶段学习十字相乘法的一些见解，十字相乘法对培养学生逆向和联想的思维能力起到了一定的作用，并体现了数学的简洁美。

随后，本文对有关一元二次方程的重要题型和解决办法进行了较为详细的分类，大至分为这4类：（1）考查一元二次方程的定义；（2）考查一元二次方程的解法；（3）考查一元二次方程根与系数的关系；（4）考查一元二次方程在实际生活中的应用。这几类重要题型是初中生对于一元二次方程需要掌握的重点知识。

数学思想无处不在。在一元二次方程当中也蕴含着很多数学思想。本文就整体思想在一元二次方程中的应用作了较为详细的介绍。在研究和解决一些有关数学问题，整体思想都能起到很好的作用。所以，在一元二次方程的教学过程中，借着这个契机，增加一些整体思想，加深学生对这种思想的认识，对学生们今后看待问题、解决问题的能力大有帮助。

最后，本文针对初中生对一元二次方程的理解做了一定的调查研究，并试图得到一些教学上的启示。本文针对教师对一元二次方程重难点的分析以及实际初二学生对一元二次方程的学习情况采用访谈、问卷的形式进行了深入了解，并进行了总结，供教师参考。
