AbstractThe convergence of random variable sequences includes almost sure convergence(a。s。 convergence),convergence in probability, convergence in distribution and r-order convergence。 The paper discusses the relationship between these four kinds of convergence, and gives the corresponding proofs and counter-examples; the equivalent definition of a。s。 convergence, convergence in probability, convergence in distribution and r-order convergence are detailedly offered; Demonstrates applications of these four kinds of convergence。 Furthermore the sum of random variables sequences is studied in this paper。 Finally ,the speed of convergence of random variables is discussed。
