Abstract With the development of society, printing and dyeing industry develop fast。 Dye wastewater bring serious pollution to the environment, and it also harm to human health。
Attapulgite was got from XuYi, JiangSu province。 Firstly, attapulgite was modified by acid, and then was loaded TiO2 to prepare composite catalyst。 The effects of light degradation of the methyl orange dye wastewater were studied。 Discussing the dosing quantity of TiO2/attapulgite composite catalyst, photocatalysis time, calcination temperature, initial concentration of methyl orange and light intensity, light degradation efficency of the methyl orange was analyzed。
Selecting the attapulgite and the TiO2 mass ratio of 1:3 as appropriate proportion, TiO2/attapulgite composite catalyst effects on degradation of methyl orange waste water were discussed through the single factor variable experiments。The experimental results show that the dosage of TiO2/attapulgite was 3g/L, remained 2h under 450℃, photodegradation time was 40min, light intensity was 500W, and the initial concentration of methyl orange was 30 mg/L, the decolorization rate of methyl orange can reach above 90%。 The same conditions, decolorization rate of pure attapulgite was only 15。9%。 Under visible light irradiation, TiO2/attapulgite and nanoscale TiO2 for the degradation of methyl orange rate were 28。7% and 19。6%, respectively, which it widen the application range of the pure TiO2。
