Title Election beam additive manufacturing with stainless steel wire
Abstract This paper aims to analyze the effects of welding speed, wire filling speed and position as well as beam on the quality of welding line formation on the basis that a new electronic beam wire filling system is achieved so as to complete the electronic beam wire filling welding by setting up the SSJ-11 wire feeder in the electronic beam welding vacuum chamber。 The techniques of electronic beam wire filling welding were used to weld ER308L stainless steel wire with the diameter of 1。2mm to 304 stainless steel plates, and to surface 3 welding lines。 The results show that the mode of front wire filling of the electronic beam achieves better effects than that of rear wire filling。 Welding and wire filling speed and beam are three fundamental elements to quality of the welding line formation。 The depth of fusion of welding line is mainly influenced by the size of beam。 The width of fusion is decided by welding speed while the surplus height is influenced by wire filling speed。 The main ingredients of microstructure are austenite and carbide, and the Vickers hardness of the weld heat affected zone is the highest。
