Abstract Solid oxide fuel cell, because of its clean and environmental protection, high energy conversion efficiency, is becoming one of the new energy technologies in all countries。 In this paper, the effect of cathode thickness on the performance of fuel cell is studied。
The first chapter briefly introduces the basic content of the fuel cell, including the principle of fuel cell, fuel cell thermodynamics, fuel cell reaction dynamics, fuel cell charge transport, fuel cell mass transport and so on。
In the second chapter, the fuel cell model was built by using COMSOL software, and the hydrogen concentration distribution, oxygen concentration distribution and electric potential distribution were analyzed。
In the third chapter, the influence of cathode thickness, porosity and the height of the battery on the performance of the fuel cell is studied。 The current density increases with the increase of the thickness of the cathode。 The effect of porosity on the performance of the battery is not too large, and can be ignored。 The height of the battery has great influence on the performance of the fuel cell, the higher the height of the battery, the smaller the current density。
