摘要随着车牌字符识别系统等各种智能电子系统投入应用,交通也变得更加智能化。车辆字符识别系统已经被广泛应用于校园交通管理系统、大型购物超市停车场管理系统、公路收费站管理系统等生活中常见的大型管理系统中,已经显现出了其便捷高效性。但人们对车牌字符识别系统的研发并没有停止,新一代的产品的不断地出现,性能也不断地优化。82802

本文首先对现有的车牌字符识别系统中所运用的图形处理技术进行了分析研究,独立完成了一个以MATLAB为开发平台的车牌字符识别系统。在本系统中,首先采集了一个字符清晰的车牌图片,然后以MATLAB为开发平台对其进行图像处理,这个过程包括以下三个子模块:车牌字符定位、车牌字符分割、车牌字符识别。在车牌字符定位模块,本系统以采用小波变换为基础的边缘检测算法为基础;在车牌字符切割模块,本系统以波谷检测法为基础将车牌进行分割,使每一个字符分割出来;在车牌字符识别模块,本系统采用字符模板匹配法。该系统经过实验测试,基本可以对车牌字符做出准确地提取,为以后此项技术投入产品应用奠定了基础。

AbstractWith the license plate character recognition system and other intelligent electronic system are put into use in the transport sector, traffic has become more intelligent。 Vehicle character recognition systems have been widely used in the campus traffic management systems, large shopping supermarket car park management system, highway toll station management system and other living large common management system, which is much more convenient and efficient。 At the same time, people in R & D license plate character recognition system did not stop to product a new generation of products, which have a optimize performance。

Firstly, the graphics processing technology of existing license plate character recognition system were analyzed in this text。 It accomplishes a license plate character recognition system independently, using MATLAB as a development platform。 In this system, it first collects a picture of the license plate with clear characters, then processes it using MATLAB platform, the process includes the following three sub-modules: license plate character location, license plate character segmentation, license plate character recognition。 In the license plate character location module, this system uses wavelet transform-based edge detection algorithm; In the license plate character segmentation module, this system uses trough detection method to make each character segmented; In the license plate character recognition module, the system uses the character template matching method。 The experimental system has been tested, which could be made accurately extract to the license plate characters, it laid the foundation for the future product applications。
