Title Mathematical Modeling and Theoretical Simulation of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radar
Abstract 24GHz Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radar has been put into automotive application and other civilian areas。 The article mainly studies the 24GHz FMCW radar from the aspect of mathematical theorem and simulates and verifies the whole FMCW system in Simulink。 The article consists of two big parts: The first part is to use Fourier series expansion to derive the mathematical expression of FMCW transmitted signal and beat signal according to the definition of Symmetric Triangle Linear Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave and to use numerical integration to solve the problem of non-integrable function in the coefficients of Fourier series。 Then, according to the derived mathematical expression, the article uses MATLAB software to program and simulate and shows the spectrum to verify the correctness of the mathematical expression。 The second part is to build simple and complicated FMCW radar systems models in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the spectrum of transmitted signal and beat signal。 Additionally, the bandpass filter in complicated system is integrated into the systems according to the transfer functions。
