Discussing the System Error and Data Processing about Measuring Liquid Refractive Index with Equal Thickness Interference
Abstract: In this paper, liquid refractive index was measured with Newton's rings and the application of Newton's rings experiment device was extendend. It took experiment that the refractive index of distilled water was measured for example and showd the general principle and experimental method of measuring the refraction index of liquid. Then it analyzed error resources in the process of experiment system and and presented the corresponding control methods. The results of measurement are processed by differential method, weighted average, and computers excel software. Finally, it concluded that the weighted average method was the best method to the experiment about data processing through comparing and analyzing the data processing results by that different method.
