The Improvement of Measuring the Moment of Inertia through Trifilar Pendulum Experiment
Abstract: This paper first introduces four aspects of the trifilar pendulum experiment, including its meaning, current situation, theory and content. Then on the basis of the analysis which analyzes the factors affecting its precision, this paper puts forward some improvements for the period measurement, swinging angle control and rotating shaft fixed device. This paper also proposes some prioritization schemes to reduce the errors through the analysis of the experiment's errors. Finally, compared the accuracy and efficiency of the experiment, this paper comes to a conclusion that, after the improvement, the accuracy of the experiment has been increased about 18 times and the efficiency has been increased about 5 times.
