Abstract Digital image processing technology is linked with Computer Technology closely, as a result, it develops rapidly in recent years. Image processing is carried out using computer image analysis techniques to achieve the desired result. It is used widely in real life, as used in processing pictures. Matlab is a powerful high-tech computing environment, which is mainly faced with scientific computing, visualization and interactive program design. It is used in various aspects, and is one of the indispensable software for researchers to do theoretical research. This
essay is aimed to do some simple processing to digital images. Besides ,this essay also give some examples to explain the use of common image processing in Matlab function, which concludes basic computing of image, image transform, image enhancement, image restoration and image coding compression.
