Abstract
In electric power system,due to the widespread use of nonlinear devices,it will inevitably produce non-sinusoidal waveform.The emergence of a large number of harmonics in power system and produce strong electromagnetic interference with the deterioration of power quality.With the extensive use of all the non-linear load, the power system harmonic problem became more and more serious.It has been a serious threat to the safe operation and economic operation of power system.It is considered a big social effects of pollution of power system.
This paper first introduces the concept of harmonics, harmonic source concept and its type and generation principle. A detailed description of harmonic harm, including its impact on the utility grid, the family, a variety of electrical measuring instruments specific hazards and their harmful mechanisms. Harmonic source localization and detection harmonic detection is a very important part of this paper outlines the harmonic source localization and detection of several methods, and compared the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Lists several methods for harmonic control, focusing on research to eliminate harmonic filters, specifically addressed the principles of active and passive filters and their advantages and disadvantages.
