Abstract The best way to learn English is to let students be in the scene of English context。 The lack of language environment severely affects the amount of language input and restricts the English learning activities and results。 English films as a kind of work of art, reflects the English-speaking countries’ language culture, customs, values and so on。 With the widespread use of the  Internet, more and more people accept the fact that English films can not only provide entertainment but also improve English listening and speaking abilities during English teaching。 In English teaching, enjoying English films whose language is rich in content and reality can make the students get rid of the humdrum and cultivate students' interest in learning English。 This paper analyzes the advantages of watching English films, raises some problems in the process of watching English films and puts forward application in English teaching。85674
