Abstract Nowadays, as Chinese urbanization process accelerating, the traffic congestion problem became a major issue in the development of cities. City subway as one of the large capacity, high efficiency, low pollution mode of public transport, can effectively alleviate the urban traffic congestion problem. To wuxi metro as an example, this paper studies the effects of subway construction to the surrounding property. After study found that the subway construction brought surrounding real estate value-added space, and found the effects of different subway stations have differences, site in inverse proportion to the distance between the housing and the housing price. In this paper, reasonable for the government to control housing prices, optimization of spatial pattern, improve the quality of urban development, property buyers and developers should be reasonable investment according to the practical situation.
