企业发展能力作为一个企业绩效评价的指标之一，一直以来起着至关重要的作用。然而，起初现代企业刚诞生时，人们对于企业未来发展能力的分析并不那么重视。因为在当时人们的交易和贸易范围都很小，人们只侧重于企业短期的发展和获利。随着时代和技术的发展，进入了21世纪的人们发现了企业的贸易范围正在逐渐扩大，如今我们的时代正朝着一个全球化方向发展。与此同时，在我们的时代知识和信息的全球化，更加促进了企业之间竞争的激烈程度。因此，相对于之前人们只是注重和企业短期获利，现在的企业不仅要求有生存和获利的能力，更加要有适应竞争的能力，要有发展的潜力和能力，因此对于一个企业的发展能力分析成了一个关键。
