Title X-band Frequency Sweep Monopulse Antenna Array
Abstract With the development of modern radar technology, the measurement accuracy of antenna angle in radar systems has become increasingly necessary。Frequency sweep monopulse antenna system introduces monopulse on the basis of the frequency sweep antenna ,which can effectively improve the angular accuracy of the antenna。 Frequency sweep monopulse antenna has an advantage over others for its compact structure,smaller volume and lighter weight。As a result,it is widely used in radar systems。 This paper presents the background and the current status of the research domestic and foreign。Then,the paper interprets the necessity of introducing monopulse in the frequency sweeping and the basic principles and implementation of a frequency sweep antenna。In addition,the paper demonstrates the distribution of Taylor and Bayliss, as well as the basic principles and implementation of the monopulse antenna on the basis of sum beam and difference beam。At last,the paper puts up the design ideas and steps of implementing frequency sweep monopulse antenna, the general idea and method of designing waveguide slot antennas。The final X-band frequency sweep monopulse antenna consists of two waveguides opening 60 slits,working at a frequency of 9 to 10 GHz。The antenna has the gain of 21dB,sidelobe of -25dB and a value of zero depth of -38dB。
