5 Conclusion
The Chinese designers,we are at a crossroads,either will be drowned in the trend or caught in the whirlpool. of narrow nationalism. Therefore,on the one hand,we need to actively and boldly learn from the essence of the western science and culture. On the other hand,we should excavate the Chinese traditional cultural heritage,learn from the ancient arts form in the aspects of shapes,decoration design,workmanship,materials,technology,color and also apply them into modern product design of course this application is not a simple copy from the traditional arts,but we should fully understand the traditional art,and based on them to become our starting point and inspiration,thus design the products with Chinese characteristics.

摘要:图腾艺术具有多样化的表现方式和象征意义。本文旨在探索图腾艺术在产品设计中的应用。第一部分着重介绍图腾艺术的概念和一些产品中体现出的相关探索;第二部分则着重于现代产品设计中产品符号的应用理论,为从传统文化中获取设计素材提供可能。

1 引言
随着人类文明的不断进步、国际交流日渐频繁、文化间交互作用的增强以及现代设计的快速发展,现代设计的国际界限已逐渐模糊。国际通用符号成为共同追求。然而,纵览世界顶级设计师,很容易发现他们都有着深厚的思想内涵并且其作品都在一定程度上打上了传统民族文明的印记。图腾艺术代表了古代的智慧。智慧的光辉仍然耀眼,其中一些我们甚至难以超越。因此我们应当带着尊重去学习。
