Title Problems and Suggestions on the Economic and Trade
Cooperation between Brazil and China
Abstract
Brazil is an important trading partner of China, and both are members of BRICS. Firstly, this paper is based on the bilateral trade volume, through the calculation and analysis of revealed comparative advantage, trade complementarity, product similarity, and reaches the conclusion that complementarity is stronger than competitiveness in the bilateral trade. At the same time the paper makes an exploration of the bilateral investment; its present situation and prospects are positive. Then, this paper analyzes and summarizes that there mainly exist the problems like of competition in trading categories, anti-dumping and other forms of trade friction, and the asymmetry of bilateral trade as well. Economic and trade cooperation were conditioned by political factors, and investment barriers exist in many areas of Brazil and some other issues. Finally, this paper presents that the Chinese side make timely communication and exchange of ideas with Brazil, be prepared before investment, make full use of the complementarity of bilateral trade, optimize the export structure, to build cooperation platform for the use of the advantages of Macao, create a good environment of economic and trade exchanges and so on to promote the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
