With this in mind, this essay analyzes, does research to the present situation of after-class track and field training in the secondary schools in the urban area of Taizhoushitiantai, finds out the problems and puts forwad the solution using references, quetionnaires and interviews and such approaches as logial generalization, comprehensive analysis and mathematical statistics, etc。 The research indicates that: (1) the age structure of the track and field coaches of the secondary schools in the urban area is reasonable。 Most of them have received college education, with a primary and medium professional title but
inadequete athelic experience which hardly involves track and field。 (2) Though the coaches have an active attitudes towards their work, it’s only the case when it is related to the benefits of the school of themselves and seldom do they show concern for training future athlets。 Most of the coaches are interested in the research about P。E。 and are capable of relevant research, but they suffer from heavy work load, little pay and immature awarding and further training systems。 (3) The athlets likes track and field training and do well in their lessons, but the contradiction between training and studyingstill exists。 (4) After-class track and field training is mainly planned at a stage basis。 Its training items are accordant with those in the municipal sports meetings。 Its organization mainly taking the form of assembled training, and content and it mainly includes skill and specific body training, which takes too big a part compared with the general body training, which is meant for competitions。 In spite of this, most of the athletes haven’t achieved good results。 (5) Nearly 50% of all the coaches don’t spend enough time instructing and training the athletes every week and they pay little attention to after-training recovery, whose methods are relatively unitary。 (6) The athletes’ parents and teachers mainly hold an affirmative attitude towards after-class track and field training。 (7) The school authorities haven’t put much emphasis on after-class track and field training。 Athletes are inadequetly funded and the training site and equipment need improving。
In order to solve the problems above, the essay raises the following counter measures: (1) The authorities should be aware of the importance of after-class track and field training。 (2) Improve the training system and the coaches’ overall qualities。 (3) Make clear the goal of the competition and improve the competition system in order to serve fully as a lever。 (4) Enhance the propaganda work, promote the sport industry and open up new sources of funding, depending on the society to support sport industry。 (5) Improve the awarding system of the coaches by assessing reasonably and reducing their work load to activate their motivation。 (6) Set up flexible and operatable training plan。 (7) Call the coaches’ attention to the importance of nutrition and after-training recovery。 (8) Establish regulations for the promotion of the sporty students to prevent the outflow of them。
