    This thesis project is mainly to ensure the quality of nailed pallet and trying to design some systems to solve the problem of nailing for the company AvenPallen.
    The company AvenPallen is a manufacturing plant of different kinds of wood products, and these products are usually nailed in a robot cell. But sometimes the nail cannot be completely driven into the wood or become twist because of the unevenness of the density of and other issues. Resulting in uneven painting affect the smoothness of the pallet, unable to meet the requirements of customers and cause waste. Therefore to solve this problem the company AvenPallen manages to find some systems to achieve quality assurance process when mailing and also can meet the maximum benefit.
    There are four possible systems has been assumed, these are mechanical inspection system, infrared inspection system, vision technique system and 3D laser scanning system. And after considered the situation of the company AvenPallen, Two of  these systems can be  improved they are optical inspection system and shadow inspection system. The optical inspection system uses the optical sensor to make sure the height of nail and guarantee the quality of pallets. The shadow inspection system uses a CCD camera and a light to get some figures, compare these figures to get the size of the shadow use this to measure the height of nails is qualified or not. Finally test these two systems and collect data. For the optical inspection system, this project will compare the different situation of qualified nails, substandard nails and Splinte. And For the shadow inspection, two of the measurement will be compared in this report these are manual measurement and software measurement.
    This report will also give the way of analysis and results of these two experiments to improve that the shadow inspection system with the software measurement. Is more suitable.

    摘要本文主要目的是为AvenPallen 公司设计一套木板钉子缺陷检查系统,解决由于钉钉失误带来的质量问题。AvenPallen公司是生产不同种类木质桌板的制造厂,而这些产品通常是在一个机器单元下完成钉钉拼装,但由于木板密度不均匀或曲翘等问题使钉子不能完全没入木板,这会使木板涂漆不均匀影响木板表面的光滑性,无法满足客户需求而造成浪费。因此为了解决这个问题AvenPallen公司设法找到一个可以保证桌面钉钉质量的系统同时确保最大利益。21041
    首先本文模拟设计四个可能满足要求的系统:机械检查系统,红外线检查系统,视觉技术系统和三文激光扫描系统。但考虑到AvenPallen公司的现状和工厂设备,升级完善红外线检查系统和视觉技术系统得到光学检测系统和影子分析系统。其中光学检查系统利用光学传感器限制钉子的高度保证木板质量;影子分析系统利用光学原理和CCD摄像头采集数字图像,通过分析比较获得影子尺寸,以此衡量钉子的高度是否在限定范围内。最后测试两个系统并且收集数据分析比较。对于光学检测系统本文主要描述测量合格钉子,不合格钉子和木刺时三种情况。在影子分析系统中主要比较手工测量和软件测量两种分析方法,经过分析比较两种实验结果发现利用软件测量的影子分析系统更适合AvenPallen公司。

    To write this thesis report takes us a lot of time and effort, we have tried our best to finish it. We have thought four inspection systems together for the company Avenpallen, then we consider the limitation to improve two of the systems and test them. We are responsible for the text and all of figures are made by ourselves. In this process there are many inpiduals we have to appreciate and appropriate.
