1.3 Structure of the Paper
This thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter one serves as an introduction aiming to introduce readers to research backgrounds, research methodologies, and purpose of this study as well. Chapter two initiates the discussion of publicity definition in case of misunderstanding, and then follows by publicity features of publicity materials. Chapter three provides a review of Nida and his functional equivalence which contains three major notions: the notion of receptors, the notion of reader’s response, and the notion of equivalence. Then comes the conclusion of the contributions of his theory. Chapter four presents the principles of publicity material translation under the guidance of functional equivalence in three directions: be faithful to the original, change forms to correctly render the content of the original, and pay great attention to the readership and introduces the strategies of publicity material translation. Chapter five summarizes the whole thesis, recapitulates the main issues from the previous chapters, shows the implication of this thesis in order to offer a unique direction, and leaves an open mind to readers for their own further research. 从功能对等角度谈外宣材料的翻译策略(3):http://www.youerw.com/yanjiu/lunwen_5279.html
