1。 Introduction

1。1 Background of the study

Since the new reform policy of Gaokao is gradually put into practice, English, as one of the  major subjects with its distinctive features, has been initially changed to new testing forms。 According to the overall plan of examination enrollment reform, English will be excluded from the final college entrance examination, which has already been a trail exploration in eastern developed provinces, including Zhejiang and Jiangsu。

As the leading subject of reform, some obvious alterations can be clearly analyzed in English。 First of all, English will be regarded as a social test for several times a year to be taken rather than being a unified exam, making a decisive influence on college choice and even future career。 Secondly, the results of English examinations will not be displayed as definite scores but ranks in the grading systems。 However, it is those great changes that bring the public into deep thinking whether the teaching status and significance of English will decline, attracting more attention for other main subjects, like Chinese and math。 In fact, it does affect its importance and people’s idea to some degree。来自优Q尔W论E文R网wWw.YouERw.com 加QQ75201.8766
