Abstract: With the development of the wireless network technology, wireless sensor network having greatly developed has been a kind of wireless network technology with the most rapid development. The MAC protocol is a very important technology that guarantees the Internet to operate regularly in many network technologies of wireless sensor network, whose significance is reflected by the usage modes of wireless channel and the limited source of wireless communication between the node configuration. This paper aiming at the problems of energy consumption across the nodes, makes an analysis of the MAC protocol, which deepens understanding of the MAC protocol in the way of making analyes and studies on the simulation platform of NS2.
