Analysis of Development of Female Fashion TV Show Based on “Pretty Women”
Abstract:With the rapid economic development, gradually raise of the social status of women, and the increasing influx of international fashion elements, women fashion TV show as a new type of television program was born. “Pretty Women” is the first women's fashion show, which is appreciated by the audience by the pursuit of fashion and beauty content, non-scripted program formats, innovative packaging. However, such programs are still in the early stages of development, and there are problems of tendency to overstate consumerism, missing cultural connotation, ignoring common women's fashion needs and so on. This paper argues that continuous innovation, localization, enhancement of the cultural quality of the program and guiding the correct view of consumption will enable women's fashion show to obtain better development space.
