The research questions are as below:
(1) What is the status of English teachers’ instructional language in junior middle school classroom, including teachers’ directives, communication language and teachers’ feedback?
(2) What are students’ attitudes and expectations concerning the status of English teachers’ instructional language?
II。 Literature Review
2。1 Introduction
From above arguments, we can figure out the importance of teachers’ instructional language, especially that of junior middle school English teachers。 So in this section, I will firstly make a summary of researches on several aspects of teachers’ instructional language from scholars at home and abroad。 But many scholars just tend to study teachers’ discourse, in which instructional language is included。 So teachers’ discourse will be inevitably mentioned in the following paragraphs。 And then I will state my own views on these issues。
