    摘要美国小学英语课堂教学的设置和开展均以学生为中心,以实用为目的。美国小学英语教学非常重视学生的阅读能力和写作技能的训练,并在教学中将两者进行有机结合。在教学中采用灵活的教学模式,创造多种语言环境,有利于促进学生语言学习和提高实际应用能力。本文通过对美国小学英语课堂教学模式的研究,总结出英语教学模式的特点,即注重阅读与语言训练,注重阅读与写作,重视文学鉴赏教育,注重使英语教学联系生活实际。将美国小学英语课堂教学模式的宝贵经验与我国实际情况相结合,可以指导我们国家和地区积极推进小学英语课堂教学改革,让小学英语课堂教学焕发出生命的活力,有利于小学英语课堂教学的发展。40818

    Abstract  The design and arrangement of English lessons in American primary schools is centered on students with the practical purpose. American primary schools attach great importance to reading and writing training, both of which are combined effectively in the English classes. Flexible teaching models adopted in the teaching process, which creates a multilingual language environment could promote the students to learn language and improve their practical ability. Based on the abundant research, the paper summarizes the characteristics of English teaching model, which focuses on language training through reading, writing training through reading, the importance of literature, and the close relation with reality. Through combining the valuable experience of English teaching model in American primary schools with China’s actual situation, we can make our country and regions promote the reform of English teaching in primary school actively. Thus the English class could be vitalized in the primary school, which is good for the development of English teaching.

    The Research of the English Teaching Model in American Primary Schools
    Ⅰ. Introduction

        As a powerful nation in the field of education, America has trained a large number of scientists and talents in economic construction, and it is the leading trend of development in various fields around the world. The stage of primary school is the key period for inpidual language development, and plays a very important role in one’s development of practical ability to communicate with others. The children usually learn speaking first, and then they will be able to express their ideas and communicate with other people. American pays much attention to the language education in primary school, which also reflects their practical values. The students who are cultivated in this kind of education system possess high quality and have strong competition for survival in the society. Moreover, they can communicate with the society and have excellent ability in innovation and practice. We study the English teaching in American primary schools from the perspective of the teaching mode so as to understand how American education lead the children to learn the art of language as well as how they cultivate the children’s interests and abilities to express in language. Thus the valuable experience of the English teaching in American primary schools can be concluded. We should learn the advanced experiences and carry out the reform of education and innovation. Only in this way can our English teaching in primary schools become full of vitality.
