摘 要成语是社会语言与文化的重要组成部分,包含丰富的文化内涵。作为一种凝练的语言,英汉成语虽然在来源、结构等方面有极大不同,却都具有形式简练、幽默风趣的特点,并以其深刻的寓意和生动的形象给人留下美好的印象。本文通过阐述英汉成语的起源,分析其相似性,并以忠实、通顺为原则详细论述英汉成语的翻译技巧,并进一步举例分析英汉成语的翻译方法。最后本文着重于英汉成语的翻译中文化差异的重要性及如何用正确的翻译策略指导译者充分表达原意。本文可帮助译者在符合文化习惯的前提下,更加灵活准确地进行英汉成语翻译实践。83626

Abstract Idiom , which is carved with abundant cultural characters , is an important part of language and culture。 Both English idioms and Chinese idioms are usually humorous with succinct forms, giving people wonderful expressions with their profound implied meaning。 This paper would discuss the origin of Chinese and English idioms, and analyze the similarities。 Then, the translation techniques of English and Chinese idioms would be elaborated with the principles, of fidelity and smoothness。 Then, the paper would take some examples to discuss about the translation methods。 In the end, the paper would put emphasis on the importance of cultural differences in idioms translation 。 Furthermore, it would point out that correct translation strategies instruct translators to express the meaning of the original meaning fully。 This paper would be used to assist the translator to do his or her work accorded with the source language accurately and flexibly。
