浅谈王实甫《西厢记》艺术特色及影响
《西厢记》自问世以来，其强大的影响力照耀影响着后世。它庞大的规模、剧作的构成、故事的展开、人物的生动描写等等，在文学史中可以说是绝无前人，并超过了元代其他的剧作家。同时代剧作家不仅研读和仿照《西厢记》，而且在思想和艺术形式上，也直接影响着后世的戏曲及明清以来的爱情小说。其中，即使是被列入“元曲四大家”的白朴和郑光祖，在创作杂剧的时候，也有意识的向《西厢记》学习、甚至是模仿。
一、《西厢记》的渊源
《西厢记》最早出现于唐代元稹字微之的传奇小说，其篇幅大小是一般剧本的五倍，全本共五本二十一套曲子，是早期杂剧创作中的重要范本。《西厢记》的题材，最早出于唐代元稹（779—831）的传奇小说《莺莺传》,而《莺莺传》最开始讲述的是唐代贞元年间（公元800年左右），张生来到蒲州求学，因诸多因素而不敢去董府探亲，继而借居在普救寺，与莺莺情投意合，最终抛弃莺莺的故事。
《莺莺传》的出现与其所处的历史背景有着密切的联系，在当时，上层社会人们的婚姻在严格的阶级制度下，决定双方婚姻的基础不在于双方的感情而是政治和经济的利益。剧中张生对莺莺遗弃的不道德行为，表现了他不愿为了一个女人而断送自己的前程。而女主角莺莺的命运，在当时官僚文人的眼中，也是不值一提的。这篇小说中，“不仅展现了男尊女卑和妇女祸水论这样的封建思想，也为官僚文人的卑鄙行为寻找借口。” [1]
