“在20世纪，逐渐出现了一种新兴的综合舞台艺术——音乐剧，它综合了歌舞、剧以及舞美技术等多个方面；特别是近些年来，音乐剧因为其旋律比较的悦耳动听、情节比较曲折以及舞美技术较为吸引人等特点，已经受到了越来越多人的喜爱”。[1]在1981年，《猫》首演于英国新伦敦剧院，获得了巨大成功，在当年，获得了奥利弗奖；在1983年，获得了7项托尼奖，这可是音乐剧的最高奖。如今，本剧的原版录音带有着200万以上的销量；在这几十年的时间内，《猫》的演出记录和票房在不断的提高，创造了一个又一个的神话。在全世界范围内，《猫》有5000多万人的观众，全世界有着高达26亿美元的票房总收入。《猫》在音乐剧舞台史上也有着重要的地位，它的创作者是安德鲁•劳埃德•韦伯；在《猫》这部音乐剧中，非常经典的一个唱段是《回忆》，它的旋律优美动听，又给人以无限的感动，需要引起人们深入的研究。

（一）韦伯简介
英国歌舞剧作曲家安德鲁•劳埃德•韦伯（图1），其父亲是英国伦敦音乐专校的校长、知名风琴演奏家，母亲是小提琴家，7岁开始就为英国皇家音乐学院工作，是当时最杰出的风琴手。韦伯自幼就显现出非同寻常的创造才华，他3岁学琴时就自己创作曲子，13岁举办了一场个人音乐会，15岁凭借自己创作的一首歌曲与南方唱片公司正式签约。韦伯凭借一系列横空出世的作品成为当代音乐剧的领军人物，同时也给广大观众带来了前所未有的试听享受。
