    According to the operational characteristics of the generator we can pided wind power generation system into constant speed constant frequency synchronous wind generator system and variable speed constant frequency wind generator system.But due to the stochastic fluctuation characteristics of the wind makes wind power and grid access control is facing severe challenges.Ordinary AC machine energy is only the flow of energy between the motor stator and the grid, The energy is fed from the power grid to the motor (electric), or from the motor fed to the grid (power generation).The stator and rotor of the doubly fed machine can exchange energy with the power grid, and the stator can be directly connected with the power grid. So this two channel flow of energy from the stator or rotor to the grid can be realized.And variable speed constant frequency doubly fed induction generator is with strong reliability, variable speed constant frequency power and low voltage through the period than ordinary double fed wind turbine better reactive power supporting capability, is one of the main models of the wind farm currently used.
    This article mainly the research of the low voltage ride through capability of the grid connected system with doubly fed wind power generation.Firstly,this paper introduced the development status of wind turbine,then introduced the structure,principle and model of double fed.
    This paper in the PAST MATLAB simulation, select the system, is a 3 machine 9 node standard system, the system used in the data, is the western United States WSCC 3 machine 9 node system.
    What’s more the characteristics of low voltage operation of wind power system in the fault of power system are studied in depth.The effects of different reactive power compensation elements on the LVRT of the doubly fed wind generator in the event of failure are studied. STATCOM, SVC, UPFC , three devices analysis and comparison of their advantages and disadvantages. So we can draw a conclusion about that the compensation ability of SVC is stronger than the other two kinds.
