According to the National English Curriculum for Nine-year Compulsory Education in 2001, English language learning has been formally included in the primary curriculum starting from grade 3。 The main task of the curriculum is to stimulate and cultivate students' interest and their confidence in learning the language, help them develop good learning habits and form effective learning strategies, facilitate autonomy and cooperative spirit in learning; enable students to master basic English language knowledge and skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing so that they form sufficient competence in using the language; cultivate students' abilities to observe, to memorize, to think, to imagine and to create; increase their awareness of the cultural differences between the East and the West, enlarge their vision, cultivate their patriotic spirit, and help them form healthy views about life。 Thus, on the one hand, students’ interests and confidence plays a vital role in English language learning。 On the other hand, developing speaking ability is one of the most important parts in English language teaching, which aims to help students to use the language effectively and is well worth the efforts in primary school。 What’s more, with the introduction of various English picture books, primary students have more opportunities to get in touch with these utilitarian and authentic teaching materials。 The application of English picture books in English lessons has attracted much attention from EFL researchers and teachers。 However, despite numerous lectures, demonstration lessons and journal articles, many teachers still feel perplexed how picture books can be used in English class effectively。论文网 通过绘本阅读教学模型提高小学生英语口语能力的研究(2):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_167761.html
