1。3。1 The characteristics of young kids
Firstly, students in primary schools are between 6-12 year old kids, a period in their lives when they begin to build own internal values and cognitive abilities。 The inclusion of some core concepts will support their cognitive and cultural growth。 Secondly, the student population this research studied are mostly children of migrant workers or “left-behind” children whose parents are away working in some distant cities。 Statistics indicated that crime rate among this particular group of children has been increasing。 (Wang Anning, 2013)。 As the result, migrant laborers children and left-behind children’s crime rate have been increasing, so it is eager to consider legal education for young kids。 A good understanding of law, freedom, equality, through the learning of English will benefit those children tremendously in their progress towards good citizenship。
