摘要：全球气候变化、资源消耗和生态破坏是21世纪全人类共同面临的重大挑战，哥本哈根联合国气候变化大会积极倡议和推动低碳发展，中国政府明确提出了低碳发展战略和控制二氧化碳排放的行动目标。推进低碳发展，积极应对气候变化，既是城市的责任，也是突破资源环境约束、加快城市发展转型的内在需求和必然选择。
中国2010年上海世博会以“城市，让生活更美好”为主题，是全世界共同探讨、展示城市未来发展和生活的重要平台。因此，以上海世博会低碳理念在展示设计中的应用为基础，本展主办方从筹备之初就将“低碳城市”作为举办本次低碳城市概念展厅的目标，努力使之成为城市可持续发展的典范。23104
为系统实行低碳城市理念、深化低碳设计实践、强化低碳生活理念的传播，将“低碳理念在展示设计中的应用”作为演绎“低碳城市概念展厅”设计主题的重要内容，通过主办方、参观者和社会各界的共同参与，以及展区内外的互动，在展会筹备和设计的全过程切实贯彻低碳理念，集中应用、展示、推广环保低碳技术和实践，广泛开展低碳理念和实践的传播活动，积极实施世博会碳补偿措施，努力将上海这座城市打造成为低碳发展的典范，并充分发挥其示范带动效应，加快推动生产、生活方式转变，促进城市低碳发展转型。
