Title             image enhancement based on image fusion             

Abstract Image fusion is a technique that people always use to process the multi-channel image collected on the same target, extract the useful information in each channel, and finally synthesize it into a final image for further observation or treatment。     

The method of image enhancement is by means of appending some information to the original image or transform the original data to highlight the characteristics of the image which we need or suppress some unwanted features in it and then make the image characteristic match the visual response。

This thesis introduces the concept and the development history of image information firstly, and then introduces the three levels of image fusion and the methods used commonly in the spatial image fusion such as pixel a weighted average method, frequency domain method and wavelet transform method。 Finally, the article describes how to defog the image which is fused。
