VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITION
Ventilation - General
The ship will be equipped with air conditioning and ventilation systems according to the requirements of
authorities and for the specified climatic conditions in this specification。 Rooms without mechanical ventilation will be naturallyventilated。
Air intakes and air outlets will be equipped with louvers/ grills to prevent rain and spray from entering the
ventilation system。
Air intakes will be placed so that rain water, spray and exhaust gas intake is mainly avoided。

Private and Public Accommodation area
Cooled or heated air shall be supplied to ventilated compartments。
Each ventilated compartment shall be equipped with a hand regulated ventilation nozzle with sound absorber。 A ventilation nozzle is to be fitted under each front window in the wheelhouse in order to demist the window。
Sanitary spaces and Laundry
Sanitary spaces including Laundry shall be ventilated by means of axial or centrifugal flow fans to open air。
Galley
Stainless steel exhaust ventilation hood with removable grease filters shall be arranged above the cooking range。
Air Conditioning System Design conditions:
The system to be designed to meet the ambient conditions in chapter 0120 Outdoor air ratio will be 50%。
The supply air volume can be adjusted inpidually in every room。
The supply air ducts consist of pre-insulated pipes of galvanized steel or of rectangular ducts with insulation。 The air conditioning air intakes are to be situated so that engine exhaust smoke of exhausted air from other air outlets to be avoided。
The exhaust air will be removed via non-insulated pipes or rectangular ducts。
Heating of the accommodation will be ensured by the air conditioning system, provided by steam。
The cabins will be indirectly exhaust-vented over sanitary rooms and over corridors through grids in the b00FS。
