Abstract Based on our geographical location, vast plateau, high above sea level, in the diesel engine to run under such conditions will be the following shortcomings: lack of motivation, reliability deteriorates, the corresponding emissions will be more serious。 All this has seriously limited the use of diesel engines in the plateau region, and so the characteristics of the diesel engine play out。 Therefore, based on the existence of these problems, focusing on research and analysis of diesel injection timing at high altitudes, which is to improve energy efficiency and power resilience has a very important theoretical and practical significance。 Applications AVL BOOST software to build a six-cylinder diesel engine working process model, and on the basis of the model to analyze the effect on the overall performance of the injection timing, and ultimately determine the altitude 3550M optimum injection timing of the diesel engine。 The working process of the diesel model, the injection timing was 16 ° ATDC, 18 ° ATDC, 20 ° ATDC, 22 ° ATDC working process was simulated。 The influence of injection timing of the diesel engine cylinder temperature, pressure, power consumption and heat release rate in these five areas of performance。
