 Research on the Application of Free Station of Total Station Instrument in Digital Mapping                   

Abstract

When collecting data in the field,The traditional measurement methods can not meet the requirements of the measurement in some special circumstances，However, the method of total station free station  has broken through such problems.To master the station free station method is the necessary professional skills and means of each surveying and mapping personnel.The method of total station free station is one of the commonly used control measurement methods in engineering survey,because it is convenient, fast, efficient and so on.

This method is mainly used in the condition of “control points after detail points” and non-intervisible areas,so we select the control point to be measured to measure,and it helps us save the time of work in the field and accelerate the work efficiency.It also meet the requirements of digital mapping and promote the development of digital mapping project.
