In recent years, the teaching quality in junior school has been improved somewhat by implementation of nine-year compulsory education, but not obvious as a whole, especially the rural junior English is still weak. The English teaching in rural junior school is affected by so many factors, such as social environment, teaching condition and teacher quality, etc. Compared with the English teaching in urban area, it exists a ceratin gap. In aspect of teaching material, methods and teachers, the junior English teaching has a lot of noteworthy problems. The reform of basic English teaching is implemented effectively only by understanding the existing difficulties and problems of rural English education.
