Abstract The Guided Learning Plan Model was carried out by the education bureau of Rugao City in Jiangsu Province firstly。 It is a process of guiding students by Learning Plan to learn independently and creatively and achieve expected teaching objectives。 This model fully reflects the leading role of teachers and the main role of students, so that the teaching efficiency can reach maximum。 It includes two facets: on the one hand, the students’ learning process: learning by themselves, cooperating and enquiring, presenting and communicating, answering questions, evaluating and concluding, checking and self-examining; on the other hand, the teachers’ teaching process: designing guided learning plan, guiding preview, partaking in communication, giving advice, summarizing the class。 This paper gives a brief introduction to the Guided Learning Plan Model’s connotation, application in writing class; besides, it also mentions about its common problems and suggestions。85678

In China, the way of learning English in the traditional teaching model is single, and it only focuses on the importance of teachers’ teaching。 Students only acquire a series of grammar knowledge and poor spoken language。 This traditional model is not adaptable to the development of the New Curriculum Reform。 The most basic symbol of modern education different from the traditional education is the transformation from “teacher-centered” to “student-centered”。 The National English Curriculum lays emphasis on quality-oriented as opposed to the traditional examination-dominated education。 It aims at the all-round development and life-long learning and education of the students (Cao 8)。
