    Abstract Business English Correspondence, or BEC for short, is one of the most basic contact ways of international business contacts. It is one of the main tools for developing national business and carrying out business activities. Business activities usually involve many areas, so in different business environment Business English Correspondence has different characteristics. This thesis attempts to study the stylistic features of Business English Correspondence from three aspects: the lexical features, the syntactic features and the textual features. From the lexical viewpoint, Business English Correspondence uses specialized business terms and abbreviations. Many words in Business English Correspondence have specific meanings. The words in Business English Correspondence are precise and formal. In terms of syntactic structure, Business English Correspondence often uses complex sentences. Passive, conditional and subjunctive sentences are often used in Business English Correspondence. There are also fix patterns of sentences in Business English Correspondence. Also the whole discourse has to follow the 7C's principles. Through the study, this thesis may help those who are engaged in business activities fully understand the features of Business English Correspondence, and write Business English Correspondence correctly. Good Business English Correspondence can help strengthen the relations between the two sides and improve trade efficiency.29611

     摘  要商务英语函电,(简称为BEC),是国际商务交往中最基本的联系方式之一。它是各国发展业务、开展商务活动的主要工具之一。商务活动通常涉及众多领域,所以在不同的商务环境中的商务英语函电具有不同的特点。本文试图从三个方面探讨商务英语信函的文体特点:词汇特征,句法特征和语篇特征。从词汇的角度来看,商务英语函电使用专业术语和缩略语。在商务英语函电中的许多词有特定的含义。在商务英语函电中的用词是精确并且正式的。在句法结构方面,商务英语函电中经常使用复杂的句子。被动句,条件句和虚拟语句也常常用在商务英语函电中。同时商务英语函电中有固定的句型结构。整个商务英语函电的语篇要遵循7C原则。研究认为,本文可以帮助那些商务人士充分了解商务英语函电的特点,并正确地撰写商务英语函电。良好的商务英语函电可以帮助加强双方之间的关系、提高贸易效率。
