    摘 要当前,人们对英语口语的重视程度越来越高。而且目前我国高中生的英语口语水平很薄弱,自然地,“哑巴英语”的现象就急需改善。在前人研究的基础上,本文主要采用定性和定量相结合的分析法研究了目前我国高中生的英语口语现状及产生这些问题的原因。同时,作者也提出了一些相应对策来改善这些现状。这篇论文旨在于提高高中生的英语口语水平,以最终改善目前我国高中生英语口语现状。希望这篇论文最终能够使大家意识到交际能力的重要性。34549

    Abstract  Now people begin to pay more and more attention to oral English. And high school students’ oral English level is very weak. Naturally, the phenomenon of “deaf-and-dump English” should be improved urgently. On the basis of the previous studies, by using the qualitative approach and quantitative approach, this paper analyzes the current situations of high school studentsʼ oral English and the main reasons for the existing problems. At the same time, some countermeasures are put forward to improve these current situations. This study aims to improve high school studentsʼ oral English, and finally to change the current situations of their oral English. Hopefully, this paper can arouse peopleʼs attention to the importance of communication ability.

    A Study on Current Situations and Countermeasures of High School Students’ Oral English
                                                 
    I. Introduction

    With the further development of economic globalization, English is becoming more and more important as an international language. Nowadays, China has already attached great importance to the improvement of English education, and the scope of English education also has been gradually expanded. Especially since entering twenty-first century, the development of oral English is getting more and more attention. However, due to the long-term influence of examination-oriented education, nowadays, in the process of English teaching in high schools, the teachers only pay attention to English grammar and writing training, but give little attention to the oral English teaching. Thus, it results in the students who only can read English instead of speaking English well. This is the phenomenon of “deaf-and-dump English”. As the grade increased, the studentsʼ abilities of listening and speaking are with no obvious progress and improvement, which will make students lose interest in learning English. The present situation of poor oral English skills, which is not good for high school studentsʼ further English learning, will hinder the development of their comprehensive abilities.
