Abstract: As a means of cultural exchange, songs connect countries in the world. It plays an important role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship among people in different countries. Lyrics translation is necessary and significant in the process. More and more attention has given to lyrics translation because of its interdisciplinary trait and relatively high translation difficulty. Under the guidance of Three Beauties translation theory, and based on a case study of Chinese translation of English lyrics of A Whole New World, translators should take into consideration the cadence and rhythm of songs, and the features of literary language in lyrics translation. The author hopes this paper can provide some help or ideas for future translation practice, and readers can enjoy the beauty of translation when they appreciate excellent translated works.34946

英文歌词汉译原则探析—以《全新世界》为例
摘要：文化交流是促进世界各民族友谊和相互了解的桥梁，其中，歌曲作为文化交流的方式之一，最能贴近生活并起到沟通思想、拨动情感的作用，从而增进世界各民族之间的交流；而歌词翻译恰恰是歌曲传播中不可或缺的过程。鉴于其跨学科的特质及较高的翻译难度，因此歌词翻译研究越来越受到关注。作者通过阅读大量文献，在三美论的基础上对英文歌曲A Whole New World进行实例分析，提出歌词翻译应兼顾歌曲的韵律节奏以及歌词的文学性特点，从而希望能给今后的翻译实践提供一定的指导，也希望让更多的读者在欣赏优秀译作的同时领略到翻译之美。

1. Introduction
Each nation has its own and unique cultural gems, so it’s meaningful and necessary for people to know about the world we live in. As a means of cultural exchange, songs have made great contributions to the spreading of culture and art of different countries. But majority of the credit must go to the translators, it is the translators who solve the obstacles of understanding foreign languages and culture behind the words. (庄三生 2013)
