    The Application of Body Language in English Class of Primary School

    Abstract  Body language is a kind of unspoken language that is widely used by human, it includes gestures, postures, facial expressions and eye contact. It's visual, tangible, flexible and perse, it plays an important role in the English class of primary school.

      This thesis adopts theoretical research to carry out the research on the application of the body language in English class of primary school. Besides, the analysis of the physical and psychological characteristics of primary school will be brought in, combined with the the objectives of primary school English teaching and the new curriculum standard.The study found that the proper application of body language can not only promote the efficiency of the teaching and help to achieve the teaching objectives, but also can arouse the students' interest in learning English and improve their learning efficiency. What's more, the proper use of body language helps to maintain a friendly relation between the teacher and the students, also helps to create a relaxed and happy classroom atmosphere. However, if it is used improperly, negative body language will lead to the opposite result. Therefore, the teacher should master the principles of the application of body language and make efforts to improve their body language to improve English teaching.

    肢体语言在小学英语教学中的应用

    摘要肢体语言是运用手势、身势、面部表情和目光进行交流的一种语言。它具有直观性、真实性、灵活性和差异性等特点,在小学英语教学中起着非常重要的作用。

    本文采用理论研究的方法,从小学生的心理、生理特征等方面展开研究,结合小学英语教学目标和新课程标准`优尔|文\论*文-网www.youerw.com,分析肢体语言的运用及其重要性,以及在新课标的背景下肢体语言所赋予的新的意义。研究发现,正确的使用肢体语言不仅能够提高教师的教学效果,达到英语教学目的,还能建立良好的师生关系,创建和谐的课堂氛围,提高学生的学习兴趣。反之,消极的肢体语言则会产生相反的结果。因此,小学英语教师应该掌握正确使用肢体语言的原则和技巧,借用肢体语言来促进英语教学。
