Interpretation of tourist attractions is a very important part in the reception of foreign tourists. It is a concrete manifestation of national comprehensive strength and the window of the tourism promotion. Unfortunately, errors in the interpretation of domestic tourist attractions can be found everywhere. This phenomenon is detrimental to the overall image of the scenic spots. What´s more, it will bring a lot of inconvenience to foreign tourists. Therefore, it is very meaningful to explore the translation strategies of the interpretation of tourist attractions.

We can see that great majority Chinese interpretations are detailed and in vivid language in many tourist attractions. On one hand, the detailed commentary can improve the interest of traveling in China for foreign tourists; On the other hand, the detailed commentary can make foreign tourists know more Chinese culture. Relatively, great majority English interpretation is inferior. Mainly reflects in the following 3 aspects: Firstly, many English interpretations are quite parsimonious in doling out information to sightseers. Secondly, there are too many errors in the English interpretations. Thirdly, some tourist attractions have only the Chinese website but have no English website in the internet.
