At home, Mrs. Morel andPaul was intimate, sometimes even inseparable, they both had a nickname—“my love”and “little pigeon”(Lawrence, 1999:78) This strong love in nature of possessionmakes his son feel suffocated, forcing him seeks opportunities to try to escape.
