Chapter one Introduction
1.1 General statement
This thesis aims to explore what role buzzwords play in adolescents and how it influences their world values. It also concerns the relationship between buzzwords and adolescents, including the way adolescents get the understanding of buzzwords, their attitudes and preference towards buzzwords, and the most important issue is about what kind of influence buzzwords can bring to adolescents.文献综述
1.2 Significance and purpose of the study
The purpose of this study is to learn about the participation of adolescents in buzzwords and the interaction between buzzwords and adolescents. By this way, readers can understand more about buzzwords and the inner thoughts of adolescents.
This article can help readers know the importance of using buzzwords in a normative way, adolescents’ attitudes towards buzzwords, the reason why buzzwords are favored by adolescents and the influence of buzzwords on adolescents. Through the exploration about buzzwords and adolescents, the educators can comprehend adolescents’ inner world and make them grow up in a healthy way.
1.3 Structure of this thesis
This thesis has five chapters. Chapter one involves three parts ---- general statement, significance and purpose of the study, structure of this thesis. Chapter two is used to introduce research status of buzzwords at home and abroad and the main users of buzzwords. Chapter three can tell readers the methodology of this thesis, including objective, subjects, research tools, and the methods to collect and analyze the data. The key point of this thesis is chapter four. In this part, people can understand the relationship between buzzwords and Chinese adolescents, this part also can help others to know more about adolescents. Chapter five is the conclusion of this article. This part aims to talk about the major findings from the study; limitations of the research and suggestions for further studies.
Chapter Two Literature Review
2.1 Studies on buzzwords abroad
Something related to foreign research and this thesis is the role of buzzwords in adolescents. Because the Internet is origin from America so they have more researches in this area. However, in the early emergency of the Internet, the study of the impact of buzzwords on human society is only qualitative description and speculation. With the popularity of the Internet, scholars study more specific subjects, their research turned to the main users of the Internet – adolescents. An American futurist and Network expert named Tapscott (1998) attempt to draw a clear outline of the various phenomena in the network era. His research involves the gap, family, social interaction and many other aspects. It is a more comprehensive and authoritative work to talk about the relationship between internet and adolescents which occurred in the early Western world. In research methods, foreign researchers started to turn into empirical research. The United States Internet Council has had an investigation about the situation of network development and it has announce the investigation report annually since 1999. Graphics, Visualization﹠Usability Center, college of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology in America has announced the survey results of the World Wide Web more than 10 times. All data announced by different institutions show that among all the internet users, adolescents accounted for the largest proportion.
