1。 Introduction
Teaching is an art; especially English teaching for English is the main tool as international communication。 To teach English well we must start from optimizing the class and researching the actual situation of students and teachers。 The relationship between teachers and students has always been the center topic。 In traditional class, there exists obviously mental distance between teachers and students。 The class has become a place where both teachers and students act according to the social rules that students obey the teachers’ orders。 As a result, the traditional class seems has a distinct hierarchy。 Although this kind of relationship is suffering some scholars’ criticisms and questions, the ascendancy of teachers still remains。论文网
Entering the new century, humanism and equality between teachers and students plays an important role in education。 The relationship in school is a mirror and reflects the tendency in society。 Nowadays, teachers and students become closer and teachers also show their understanding and sympathy for students。 The two parts interact more in class, and only when teachers and students communicate the class can go on。 So we must conduct and administrate the class successfully to ensure the quality of a class。
The purpose of English teaching is stimulating the interest of English and improving their ability of learning。 Whereas traditional English class model is “Teacher-centered”, and the students just accept the knowledge and message。 This pattern is out-of-date and doesn’t apply to current education of all-around development。 Thus, the successful implement of Communicative approach in middle school English class can break through the bottleneck of English teaching。 With the idea of “student-centered”, teachers should construct a comfortable and harmonious atmosphere to improve the quality and efficiency of English teaching。 There are two tendency in English communicative teaching。 First, during the guide of college entrance examination, our teachers pay more attention on the language knowledge and ignore the ability of communication, as a result, the basic feature of English as a
communicate tool vanishes。 The process of learning English becomes boring。 Second, the content of communication is repeated drills, and it cannot be the communication actually。 The modality of activities is single and interactions between teachers and students or students themselves are limitative。 All of these weaknesses do harm to English learning and acquisition。 If the teachers abuse the group talk, the class will be noisy and in efficient。 These situations lead to communication method a mere formality, that’s why the education reformation fails in middle school。
2。 Literature Review
The relationship between teachers and students refers to the interaction during teaching activities in class。 It involves the position of the two main bodies and the attitude they take to each other。 The education activities in school are collective tasks for teachers and students, it goes on under their relationship。 Good relationship is the guarantee for the success of teaching。
From the very beginning till nowadays, there has existed many theories about the position between teachers and students in class。 The position between them is the center contradiction in teaching activities。 According to the modern theory of this topic, there is a tendency that the center is changing from teachers to students, and single center theory is moving to double bodies。 It changes a lot and more important, it plays an important role in communicative approach。
