Abstract Game is an indispensable part of life for children。 For this reason games should be full used in primary school English teaching。 Students can master knowledge quickly in a pleasant atmosphere。 Rock, a British educator, once said in his book “Education Comic” when students are learning attentively, they should be happy and everything should make them feel easy and happy。 English learning is a long-term process of adherence and accumulation。 So interest plays a very important role in English learning。 Game-playing teaching method is just an effective way to stimulate students’ interest in learning。 This paper will discuss the function and patterns of game-playing teaching methods in English teaching and it will also tell teachers how to choose and design the game loop in the classroom teaching。 The paper will provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the organic combination of English teaching and games。76242
