Abstract As the film title services as the film’s face and label, its translation should be paid serious attention to。 However, there is no systematic or official translation method provided until now。 Though film title translation has been a hot spot in research field in these years, few analyzed it from a macroscopic angle。 Eco-translatology is a new theory proposed in recent years, which focuses on macroscopic and systematic perspective to the translation。 Compared to other theories, it offers new descriptions and explanations to the translation essence, process, methods and so on, providing a different angle and new starting point for translation study。 Based on this, this paper makes an attempt to illustrate and analyze the English film title translation under the guidance of the three-dimensional principles of Eco-translatology Theory, namely the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions, in order to provide a different perspective for this study and enrich it。76733

摘要作为电影的标签和门楣,电影片名的翻译应该谨慎处理。但是,时至今日,都没有官方系统的翻译方法提出。虽然近年来电影片名翻译已成为翻译界的热点关注,但很少有人从宏观角度出发。而生态翻译学是近年来出现的新翻译理论,注重宏观与系统化的翻译研究。与其他翻译理论相比,它对翻译的本质、过程、原则和方法以及翻译现象等都做出了新的表述和解释,为翻译研究提供了新思路,拓展了新视野。基于此,本文尝试在生态翻译学理论的“三维”翻译原则即语言维、文化维和交际维的指导下,阐析英文电影片名翻译,以期为电影片名翻译提供一个不同的视角并丰富其内涵。

1。 Introduction
In the era of modernization, communications between different countries have become more and more frequent in various forms like transnational tourism, multinational corporations, cultural exchanges and so on。 Gradually, English films have flooded into Chinese people’s lives and become the most popular form of recreation for people in these years。 Chinese people know more about the west through these films。
As an essential factor, the film title has impact on the audience’s watching desire by scanning, which attaches great importance to the translation of film titles。 It is widely agreed that excellent translation of the film title can grace the film for titles’ own linguistic, cultural and communicational features。 As is known to all, China differs from western countries in many aspects, bringing a lot of obstacles to the translation of film titles。 In recent years, translation field has paid more attention to this kind of translation and many scholars have focused on film translation, including dubbing, subtitle and title translation。 However, there exist some problems like the lack of agreement of the nature of film title translation, no novel literatures listed, no systematic theories introduced and so on。
