A Pragmatic analysis of dialogues in “The Cask of Amontillado”Abstract Edgar Allan Poe is a famous American novelist and poet whose horror fiction, detective fiction and crime fiction are widely spread in the world。 “The Cask of Amontillado”” is one of Poe’s horror fiction。 The book is about a revenge plan of a declining aristocrat called Montresor who lures insolent Fortunato into the cellar and kills him in the guise of tasting the amontillado wine。 The story is mainly consists of conversations between the two speakers through which we can have a clear understanding of their different personalities and mental status。76781

摘  要爱伦坡是美国著名的作家和诗人，大量作品中以恐怖小说、侦探小说和犯罪小说最受到人们的喜爱。《一桶白葡萄酒》就是一篇发表于1846年的短篇恐怖小说。主要讲述了没落贵族福图纳托引诱骄傲无礼的贵族蒙特里梭到自家地窖并将其杀害的故事。小说主要有两位主角的对话组成，从对话中可以看出两位主角的不同性格特点以及情节的发展过程。

本文将从话轮转换及会话的合作原则两方面分析爱伦坡的小说《一桶白葡萄酒》。分析表明，小说中话轮转换的的主要发起者和话题转换者在会话中确有强势地位，并且表现出更明显的目的性，而福图纳托之所以违反合作原则通常出于取信与蒙特利索的特殊目的，蒙特利索违反礼貌原则表现了他的无知和粗鲁。爱伦坡的恐怖小说中，犯罪者的心理和杀人手法都是变态又怪诞的，但对人物的语言进行分析可以看整个犯罪的起因和结果都是合理有据的。
